Welcome to Jessland...

the day our oven exploded...

this my friends, is why i love living in argentina. random stuff like this would NEVER, i repeat, NEVER, happen at home:

lazy sunday afternoon, about 4:30. i just got home from lunch and icecream and was walking in the kitchen to make some coffee.

what i found was a huge pile of glass on the floor. there was no door on the oven.

the surprising thing was, there was no one around. i mean, this is not a normal occurence. there was just glass all over the place. i was thinking, "um...don't they (my roommates) know that this happend? i think they are home...i mean...maybe they're not?"

i was so confused.

i went to sarah's room..she was indeed home...and i was like, "um...what happened to the oven?"

she starts dying laughing. the door just blew off while the oven was on.

sarah had just taken some bread out of the oven, when she went to marie's room because her space heater was on fire. on fire!...there is a hole in the back where the plastic melted and everything!
so they were dealing with that and sarah walks back to her room and here's something crash, like a plate fell to the ground, but a lot louder. she's like, well jess isn't home to have broken anything (a very common occurrence unfortunately), so what could it have been?

oh, nothing much. just the oven door.

and now i have my new favorite apartment story. this is way better than the time the pigeon flew in and pooped all over marie's room.

besos,
jess

ja ja ja ja! Jess... that's awesome. A little scary (what with crashing doors and broken glass and high heat), but awesome. I would die to see the duenas face when she spots this one! :)
