today was a good day. first of all, i didn't have to work, as many of you probably saw on my away message. it was quite a pleasant surprise, because they haven't needed anyone to go home from a shift in a while. but so i was like, shoot, i'll go home! and then i really went home, to burlington! to have lunch with my mommy...yay! it was good. it was very spontaneous and really cheered me up a lot...good change of scenery for the afternoon. and i just love driving down 54...so many good smells in the spring. even the cow pie smell is a bit endearing :) and there were baby goats out today, and they were pretty darn cute as far as goats go. mom and i went to the village grill and we got dessert at lunch :) yay!

my creative writing teacher told us we were all protegies today (quite an exageration, i think). she is driving me crazy with her wishy-washy compliments. but, she did give us some good advice today about editors, publishing and adverbs...

i had quite a good time talking to staci leonard on IM when we were sitting two seats away from each other. and we had a very pleasant dinner together :)

then i saw a movie called Camila and it was a sad, but really really good movie. i would highly recommend it if you know anything about Juan Manuel de las Rosas...or if you don't, ask me about Rosas and then watch the movie anyway. very poignant. tears were shed :(

the only thing i didn't like ab. today is that ronda called me. and stacy got to talk to her and i was still at the movie. RONDA...CALL BACK!!!

so there's the info ab. the best day i've had in a while. now i'm off to drink some diet coke w/lime and read ab. drug trafficing in Colombia...
