the luggage fairy

United Airlines lost my luggage. again.

i am currently in the U.S., about to take part in Laura Carver's wedding extravaganza, and my luggage did not make it to RDU at the same time i did. i saw it, touched it, checked it back in after going through customs in DC, but she did not make it to Raleigh.

i basically ran off the plane because i was so excited to see my dad who i knew was waiting for me with biscuitville! we were waiting for the luggage for a while, but i had to go pee so i had dad stay there and wait for my trusty huge, blue suitcase. when i came back, he had a suitcase and it was a jessica's suitcase, but it was black. i was like, ummm...dad, that's not mine...

i could hardly sleep at all on the plane because of excitement and serious lack of space (ask me about that story sometime...) so i was seriously frustrated with the United representative that was helping me. but, i will say this, the lost luggage people in Argentina are way more helpful than the ones in the US. and trust me on this, i speak from experience.

well, both dad and i called and checked online for updates all afternoon and evening. they said that the suitcase hadn't even been located at 11ish last night. so, we gave up and decided not to look any more till the morning.

dad was leaving for work this morning at 6 and there she was. just sitting on the porch, like she had dropped out of the sky in the middle of the night.

so the luggage fairy came to my house last night. too bad she didn't leave a free plane ticket under my pillow...
