Red scare?
so big shout out to the sociology department for cancelling soci 153 today. i'm pretty happy about that. so instead of a soci class ab. latin america, now i'll be taking the history of cuba. AND the history of russia as my non-western history for arts and sciences perspective, blah blah. but really...what a little commie i'm going to be.
another shout out to kate and our besitos de coco :) what a fun culinary experience making sticky globs of coconut and brown sugar! i literally CANNOT wait till i get to write a reaction about this experience. ha. hahahaha.
ok, i think i will spare you and not post a poem up today. but more are coming. don't think for one minute that you're getting away from them. here is something that needs to have a poem written about it:
the opening of baseball season.
to me, nothing else says, "IT IS SPRING" like this very day. in high school, our AP calc teacher told great stories about growing up in Chicago and skipping school to go to cubs games. he also wore a bow tie everyday, except the opening of baseball season day, when he wore a regular tie with a baseball bat and a cubs logo on it. also, it means the wisteria will be blooming soon, which is my favorite smell in the world, i do believe. it is soooo nice to drive down 54 when the wisteria is blooming. and i like to think about how metal bleachers feel when your legs are sweaty and sticking to them...i just think that i love spring and easter and birfdays and baseball and wisteria! perhaps i should just write the poem my dang self?
stacy found 2 errors in all of my blogs. so freakin' sorry.
well i gotta go finish working on my span presentation and then hit the sack. my stomach is hurting a bit from the biscuits and gravy i had at breadmen's for dinner. too much southern fare=tummy ache i guess.
good night from your communist friend.
p.s. now bethany has a blog too!!! yay!
