Welcome to Jessland...

"for from Him and through Him and to Him are all things"

strength finder, etc.

I am sure i've lost the little readership that i had over these past two months, but i didn't have much to say because i was unable to process it all. i'm working through it and hopefully there will be words to write here in my near future. but who knows...maybe someone will read this because blogging seems to be the cool thing these days.

well, i am currently in a season of "i have no idea what to do with my life." i have had several job interviews that didn't pan out which in my mind means that these employers can literally see that i will only be in my next job for a short period while i'm figuring out the next step though a wiser woman has told me that she thinks it's God's providence because i really don't need a big commitment right now.

probably that is true.

this woman also advised me to pick up the book, "now, discover your strengths" to take a strength finder test. the idea in the book is a good one...not to fix your weaknesses, but to improve the areas that you already have talent in.

here are my top five strengths:

adaptability--People strong in the Adaptability theme prefer to "go with the flow." They tend to be "now" people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.

empathy--People strong in the Empathy theme can sense the feelings of other people by imagining themselves in others' lives or others' situations

activator--People strong in the Activator theme can make things happen by turning thoughts into action. They are often impatient.

achiever--People strong in the Achiever theme have a great deal of stamina and work hard. They take great satisfaction from being busy and productive.

developer--People strong in the Developer theme recognize and cultivate the potential in others. They spot the signs of each small improvement and derive satisfaction from these improvements

not sure where to go from here, but i thought this was super interesting. i can see how my experiences in Argentina pulled some of these things out in a big way. i'd recommend the test...but the only thing is, you have to buy a copy of the book to get a number so that you can take the test. but probably worth it.

in other news, i have to figure out how to get to siler city today. interview.

well, here's to the most random blog entry of my life!

besos,
jess
