best of...

hey everyone,

i just wanted to post some of my favorite pictures from the trip. they don't feature anyone that i know, but they're just some shots that i'm particularly proud of or that make me smile or that just bring back some really amazing memories. they're in reverse order...malaga to korea to madrid instead of madrid to korea to malaga. have fun!

on our last morning in Malaga, we went on a prayer walk at this castle overlooking the city.
it was so neat to be able to wrap up our time in Malaga that way and to just see how big and beautiful the city really is!

this is my favorite street in Malaga, hands down.
it also brings back some sweet memories of spending time with the fab four:
meli, flor, sarah and myself!

to the left, south korea.
to the right, north korea.
it was so hazy that day, so the picture's really no good.
but, i saw north korea!

i like kids.

i mean, i really like kids.

ok, so this picture is nothing to write home about.
but, i think it sums up a lot of what i learned about Buddhism while i was in s. korea,
not that i am claiming to know a lot.
this is outside the buddhist temple that we visited in Busan and you can see people doing all kinds of rituals to please Buddha:
bowing down in front of the tower (apparently if you bow down 200+ times, that makes the god happy), lighting candles, taking off shoes in order to enter the temple to bow down more to the buddha statue and to leave offerings on the altar.
a good buddhist would return everyday.
a lot of futility. not a lot of hope.
i guess i could say that this picture makes me extremely thankful for Christ!

taken in Madrid.
i love it because if you look close, you can see an easel on the balcony.
that means someone else found this street just as lovely as i did!
