not my week

this blog in the past was a forum for all the ridiculous things that happened to my former car, the neon, may she rest in peace.

i figured i should continue the trend.

right now i am driving a 1996 cutless supreme oldsmobile. two weeks ago, she was in the shop because she had no A.C. i thought after living in argentina for two years i could just deal with it. but really i was miserable. so we got it fixed.

well, the next monday, i was pulling into the parking lot at work after being told at the dentist that i will probably need braces or at least the invisaline retainers again (don't get me started). so i was just a little frustrated thinking about that and the parking lot was more than full and i just start getting upset. so all our temps parked in the employee parking and my spot was full. so i try to squeeze my box on wheels into a too small spot and end up hitting the stairs at 5mph. so i backed out and was like, okay, that was dumb, let's move on.

well. my front bumper fell off. completely.

no joke.

and one of the temps helped me pick it off the ground and put it into the backseat of my car.

for real.

so for now she's in the shop...the whole bumper had to be replaced. so i am driving my brother's 1994 chevy lumina which is a joy in and of itself because it has a ridiculously loud muffler and $900 sound system to which i really like to rock out to patty griffin, etc. and of course just yesterday, for the first time in my life, i locked the keys inside this lovely car.

so, this just confirms what i've always said: if i ever have enough money, i will have someone drive me around.
